How could I forget???
I was just reading back through past posts and realized I never gave any updates about how the walk went in NYC! Now that I am back in training I will try to put some of my memories and pictures up from that walk, which was an AMAZING experience. I'm sure it will be motivating for me to remember the emotion of the whole thing. I am starting back on my eating and walking plan on Saturday...less than a year until my 60 Mile Journey!

Gearing up for the next walk!
I'm just getting plans started for my next walk! This time I am going to do the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure in Michigan, in August of 2010. I have 11 months to get ready!!!

Under the Weather
Today I have no energy. I didn't sleep well due to terrible congestion. I also had trouble getting comfortable because I'm achy and feverish. When I got up this morning and saw the white, frosty world outside I wished I could just crawl back under the covers. But, alas, this I could not do. So I will try to drag through the day with the goal of getting to bed early and hoping that this persistent cold will one day end. I can't even begin to think of going to the gym, but I know I should...

Training Woes
Today I'm really struggling with my training program. I just don't want to do it! I'm focusing on building strength in my knees and ankles so that I don't have as much pain when I walk longer distances, but I'm just not motivated. I don't know what the answer is other than Just Do It! I'll try to force myself today and maybe ask some people at the gym how they stay motivated. I'll also listen to podcasts for answers while I work. Maybe that will help...I hope so!
